Behind the Bad Breath
Stinky breath. Butt Breath. Dragon Mouth. Morning Breath. These are all things we would probably say about someone who has bad breath. Although it can be a chronic condition that could prove to be a serious health issue, a little insight into some simple bad habits could help freshen a rotten smelling mouth! There are certain medical conditions that should be discussed with a doctor first, but little things such as diets, habits and foods can strongly contribute to bad breath. And knowing what you can do personally at home can be very helpful!
What Goes in Your Body
Depending on what you put inside your body, your bad breath may be caused by what you eat. There are certain things that you can eat to help ease the bad breath easing up your throat, such as greens like parsley, lettuce, and other things. In addition, eating things that have not been properly cleaned or cooked can lead to bad breath as well, so you should be careful of the things that you put in your mouth, as you may be able to smell them later.
Your Habits
Setting up a regular routine of dental hygiene is the best way to get rid of bad breath everyday. It is also the best preventative “medicine” for future spells of bad breath or even tooth and gum disease. Many food particles are left inside the mouth after eating and drinking - and when they are left in a warm, wet environment, decay is bound to happen. So a good brushing and flossing can help prevent bad breath by just getting rid of the biggest culprit of bad breath - Rotten foods!
In Conclusion
Since there are many causes, and as long as you do not have a medical condition causing the bad breath, most cases a diet or bad habit are the main causes of bad breath. If you do not want to have to deal with the repercussions of having chronically bad breath, a few simple changes should be made. And if nothing seems to help, you should definitely talk to a doctor and/or dentist about what could be causing it as soon as possible.
